NEW Designated Occupation – Residential Construction Site Manager

Alberta has become the first jurisdiction in Canada to designate the Residential Construction Site Manager as a designated occupation. The training, which was developed in conjunction with the Alberta New Home Warranty Program and the Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta, is now available to existing site managers and to individuals new to the residential construction industry.

This training will enhance the quality, work and safety of existing residential construction, while also providing a voluntary certification process.

Industry is assuming ongoing responsibility for training, which includes a blend of online learning, classroom instruction and on-the-job training.

There are approximately 3,000 individuals working as residential construction site managers in Alberta.
