Campus Alberta Quality Council - Proposal Reviews
The Campus Alberta Quality Council reviews all proposals for new degree programs from both publicly funded institutions and private institutions to ensure they are of high quality before they are approved. The review process may vary depending on whether Council conducts a
-
full council review, which includes both an organizational review (the readiness of the institution to mount and sustain the degree program) and a program review (the quality of the degree program being proposed) by external evaluators hired by the Council
-
partially expedited review, which does not require an organizational evaluation
-
fully expedited review, where the Council does a desk review rather than using external evaluators for the program review
Please see the Campus Alberta Quality Council website for a detailed description of the approval process.
