System Coordination
System coordination ensures that students can access relevant, high-demand and responsive advanced education programs in a variety of ways and in a variety of settings.
Post-secondary institutions submit proposals to create new programs, or change existing programs, to Enterprise and Advanced Education for review. The department considers how the proposals align with institutional mandates and needs in the post-secondary system. If approved, the program is designated for student financial support as prescribed by the Tuition Fee Regulation and its credentials are ensured upon graduation.
The approval process for degree programs falls under the authority of the Post-secondary Learning Act and the Programs of Study Regulation.
