Alberta-Smithsonian Internship Program (ASIP)

The Alberta-Smithsonian Internship Program (ASIP), established in 2006, is an ongoing partnership between the Government of Alberta, the University of Alberta, and the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.

ASIP provides outstanding students, registered in degree-granting programs at Alberta post-secondary institutions, with exceptional opportunities to work with Smithsonian scholars, scientists, experts, and educators in science, history, culture, and the arts in Washington, D.C. or other Smithsonian sites around the world.

The Government of Alberta provides 10 eligible students per year with up to $6,000 (CAD) to support their participation in a semester or summer internship.
